Everything happens for a reason, and in certain seasons...
Last year, I learned a great deal about times and seasons through hardships and trials, which were out of my control. However, as I sought God to understand these things, my life started to shift, and took on an even better shape and form. To get to this place, I had to pray, shift my thinking and let go of certain situations and people, as I embraced God’s will and assignment for my “recognizable season”. With this in mind, I would like to re-assure you that your “next best level in life” will come from knowing and understanding “your personal life, times and seasons.”
I could sit here and write a best-selling novel about this subject matter. But, for the sake of time I will say this…. I strongly believe that if you have the spiritual intelligence to discern what you should to be doing in any season of your life, your focus level will keep you from allowing other things to overwhelm and distract you from living your most abundant life! To gain a better understanding, let’s reflect on Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8. It says:
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
The resounding theme in this scripture example is: “there is a time to do this, or a time to do that.” However, if you are not including God in every step of your decision making, you can find yourself greatly distressed and dumbfounded by “silly nonsense” thrown your way from the enemy.
Anytime is the perfect time to begin to charge up our lives with prayer! Stop being led by what you see, and start being led by what God is speaking to your spirit through His Word and in your quiet time with Him. Humbling ourselves in a sincere posture of prayer helps us to wait on God for His perfect timing.
Moreover, when you start to gain wisdom from God about what time/season you are in, you will know exactly where your focus needs to be. Are you in a season of learning? Or, are you in a season for self-reflection and growth? Are you in a season for reaping? Or, are you in a season of planting seeds within others? At any rate, your challenge for today is to get understanding in this area, so that your life will begin to flow in the most fruitful, divine and spectacular way for you!
